Savory Marinara Sauce is ubiquitous with Italian dishes. This raw recipe is even more satisfying than cooked recipes! I use Savory Marinara Sauce in making Pepper PizzaZucchini Spaghetti and other dishes.

Savory Marinara Sauce: Serving Size

  • 8 ounces

Savory Marinara Sauce: Ingredients

  • 4 plum tomatoes, halved
  • ½ to 1 cup of sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 cup of basil
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Savory Marinara Sauce: Directions

  • Blend the tomatoes, basil and lemon juice and then add a handful of sun-dried tomatoes at a time until smooth and thick. I highly recommend using a high-powered blender such as a Vitamix blender, outfitted with variable speed and a tamper, or wand, to push food into its blade.

Savory Marinara Sauce: Tip

  • Substitute or even add herbs such as fresh oregano and rosemary to your Savory Marinara Sauce.
